Fall Has Arrived in the South

It was a rainy day here in Goodlettsville, TN and after a morning filled with errands, I decided to head out and grab a few images from my new Canon 5DSR along the tracks next to the RV park. Fall has finally arrived, the temps are dropping and the leaves are starting to finally turn color.

This camera does not disappoint! the 50mp, full frame sensor is quite astonishing actually, and although this camera was released 6 years ago, it is still the highest megapixel DSLR that Canon has released to date. This coupled with my Canon L glass has me pretty excited about the images that this thing is going to produce.

There are much more capable Canon cameras on the market today but I am still partial to the DSLR landscape and have a desire to ensure that I can generate large prints if necessary. Someday I am sure I will jump on the mirrorless bandwagon, but for now I am pretty happy with my Canon DSLR gear.

These images were shot with the Canon 5DSR with a Canon 24-105 F4 L with an ISO of 400. It was a dark rainy day and a number of these images were pretty underexposed when shot, but I was able to pull out good detail in post using Lightroom.

This is the last week we are in the Nashville area. We are headed out to Indiana next weekend to have the rig worked and will then start our journey south for the winter. It has been an epic summer of travel and we are looking forward to settling down for a few months and catching up with our friends and family.
