A Photographer’s Favorite Time of Year

We just completed a week of living in a hotel room, while getting our rig worked on here in Northern Indiana. It’s starting to snow and and now it’s time to head south for the winter. It’s been an epic summer of travel and we have absolutely loved spending time in the North East.

I think that one of the things that is often overlooked are the photo opportunities in the campgrounds we spend time in. So often its about setting up and heading out to explore the area when there are often a ton of photo ops right where we are camped.

When we landed in Southern Illinois for the evening, I decided to head out and check out the campground. The fall colors were present in full force and although the weather was cold and dreary there were still images to be had.

Fall has to be my favorite time of year these days. There are photo opportunities everywhere you look, regardless of the weather… all you have to do is look!

These images were shot with my Canon 5DSr with my 24-105 f4 L
